🍺 Pipeworks Barrel-Aged Rarities & Great Notion Pastry Powerhouses have Landed!

New releases at Beer Bazaar including Pipeworks Barrel Aged Hyper Dog, Great Notion Double Stack, and Triple Berry Shake.

Happy Tuesday, Grayslake! Rachelle is behind the bar tonight and she’s ready to pour some of the most anticipated releases of the season. We’ve just stocked a massive lineup of heavy-hitters from Pipeworks Brewing Company and Great Notion, featuring everything from maple-soaked stouts to “shake-style” tart ales.

Stop by Beer Bazaar (107 Center Street, Grayslake, IL 60030) to grab these fresh drops before they’re gone!

Barrel-Aged & Seasonal Dark Beers

  • Pipeworks Brewing Company (Chicago, IL) | Find more from Pipeworks here
    • Barrel Aged Jones Dog (14.1% ABV): A decadent Imperial Milk Stout aged in bourbon barrels and conditioned on cacao nibs and whole vanilla beans. Expect waves of chocolatey richness and a smooth, creamy finish.
    • Barrel Aged Hyper Dog (13.5% ABV): This “dessert in a glass” takes the milk stout base and adds freshly roasted coffee along with cacao and vanilla. Bold, smooth, and complex.
    • As You Wish (14.8% ABV): A returning favorite from Pipeworks’ barrel program. This Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Porter delivers big bourbon aromatics with layers of chocolate, vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak.
    • Last Kiss (15.7% ABV): A deep, complex Wee Heavy aged in both bourbon and maple syrup barrels. Indulgent notes of caramelized sugar and vanilla are balanced by a warming spice.
  • Great Notion Brewing (Portland, OR) | Find more from Great Notion here
    • Double Stack (11% ABV): Their legendary Imperial Breakfast Stout fermented with a “ridiculous amount” of Vermont maple syrup and conditioned on Sumatra coffee beans. It smells like a fresh stack of pancakes and tastes like liquid gold.
    • Gorillas in the Grist (11.2% ABV): A thick and sweet Chocolate Banana Pastry Stout. Brewed with bunches of real bananas and gooey chocolate for a B-A-N-A-N-A-S dessert experience.

Fruit Smoothie Sours & Hoppy Ales

  • Great Notion Brewing (Portland, OR)
    • Triple Berry Shake (10% ABV): A massive, jammy tart ale fermented with black currant, blackberry, and blueberry, then finished with vanilla for a creamy, milkshake-like consistency.
    • Blueberry Cheesecake (6.6% ABV): A culinary-inspired tart ale that replicates a slice of cheesecake. Loaded with Oregon blueberries, vanilla, and milk sugar.
  • Pipeworks Brewing Company (Chicago, IL)
    • Hot Wheels (5.9% ABV): A bright and tropical Hazy Pale Ale dry-hopped with Nelson Sauvin. Expect unique notes of gooseberry, mango, and passion fruit.
    • Ninja vs. Unicorn (8% ABV): (Restocked!) Their flagship Double IPA brewed with over five pounds of hops per barrel.
    • Blood of the Unicorn (6.5% ABV): (Restocked!) A hoppy Red Ale that balances a solid malt backbone with an aggressive hop profile.
    • Lil Citra (5.1% ABV): (Restocked!) An easy-drinking, sessionable Pale Ale showcasing the bright citrus notes of Citra hops.
